Paddy Power

Paddy Power is an Irish bookmaker whose British shops are operated by Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment plc, the group that also owns Betfair and Sky Bet. Its UK shop estate is much smaller than those of William Hill, Ladbrokes, Coral or Betfred and is concentrated in London, the south east and the larger cities.

Shops on BookieFinder

BookieFinder does not yet list individual Paddy Power shops. Shop data on this site comes from each bookmaker’s official locator, and Paddy Power’s has not yet been collected. When it has been run and checked we will add every shop with its published hours and a collection date. Until then, town pages showing no Paddy Power shops should not be read as meaning there are none.

The Gambling Commission’s public register listed 349 licensed premises for Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited when we checked on 21 September 2026. Premises licenses are not exactly the same as trading shops, but the figure gives a fair indication of scale: roughly a third the size of Coral’s estate and a quarter of Betfred’s.

Paddy Power’s online betting in Great Britain is licensed under a different Flutter company; the license details above relate to the shop business only. We will add a link to the relevant register entry on the online profile.

Company background

Paddy Power was formed in Ireland in 1988 from the merger of three existing bookmaking businesses, and opened its first shops in Britain in the early 2000s. The company merged with Betfair in 2016 to form Paddy Power Betfair, renamed Flutter Entertainment in 2019. Flutter is one of the largest gambling groups in the world, listed in New York and London.

In Britain the brand is best known for its online business and its marketing. Its shops follow the same rules as every other licensed betting shop in Great Britain: a maximum of four gaming machines, £2 maximum stake per machine play, Think 25 age policy, and participation in the GamStop Betting Shops self-exclusion scheme.

Paddy Power’s official shop locator is one of the few that publishes special hours for holiday periods. If that data proves reliable when collected, Paddy Power shops may be the first on BookieFinder to show bank-holiday hours as well as the standard week.

If you have information about a Paddy Power shop, please contact us. We will check it against the official source when the collection runs. We do not publish shops from user reports alone.
