BookieFinder is an independent reference service for people who use, or want to find, betting shops in the United Kingdom. We list licensed betting shops, their addresses and opening hours, and factual information about the bookmakers that run them. We are not a bookmaker, we do not take bets, and we are not owned by any gambling company.
What you will find here
A betting shop database. At the time of writing we list over 3,000 shops belonging to William Hill, Ladbrokes and Coral, covering 226 towns and cities across England, Scotland and Wales. Each shop page shows the address, postcode, phone number where published, opening hours for every day of the week, facilities such as self-service terminals, and a map.
Bookmaker profiles. Neutral summaries of each high street bookmaker: who owns it, how many shops it runs, what its shops typically offer, and its licence status with the Gambling Commission.
Tools and explanations. Calculators for odds, each-way bets and accumulators, a glossary of betting terms, and plain-English guides to how betting shops and bets work.
Offers. Where a bookmaker publishes a promotion, we may list it with its full conditions. Offers are always marked as commercial content and kept separate from factual information. Our affiliate disclosure explains this in detail.
Where our information comes from
Shop data on BookieFinder is collected from the bookmakers’ own published shop locators, which are the closest thing to an official record of where each company trades and when its shops open. We record when each shop’s details were collected and show that date on the shop page. We do not copy data from other directories and we do not guess opening hours. If a bookmaker does not publish hours for a shop, the page says “Hours unavailable” rather than showing an estimate.
Some shops are also checked by a person, for example by telephone or by comparing two independent records. Those shops are marked as verified with the date of the check. The two states are shown differently on purpose: source data tells you what the bookmaker says, verification tells you that someone has confirmed it. Bookmaker licence details come from the Gambling Commission’s public register. Company information comes from Companies House and the companies’ own published reports. Where we cannot confirm a fact from one of these sources, we say so rather than fill the gap.
Independence
BookieFinder is published by Green Media. We have no ownership link with any bookmaker, and no bookmaker has any say in what we list or how we describe it. We may earn a commission if you open an account through a link in one of our clearly labelled offer sections. Commission never affects the order in which shops appear, the content of a bookmaker profile, or whether we publish a correction.
Corrections
Betting shops open, close, move and change their hours more often than most people expect. If you spot something wrong, use the “Report a problem” form on the shop page or write to admin@bookiefinder [dot] com. Reports are reviewed by a person before any change is made, and confirmed corrections are dated on the shop page.
Responsible gambling
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. Betting should be a leisure activity, not a way to make money.
